I <3 Black Granite Metallic. First wash with meguiars hyper wash, worked so much better than the neon green crap from Walmart. Also tried meguiars spray wax, I think it worked really well. Not as good as a proper synthetic or carnuba, but far easier. Entire wash and wax took ~90min.
I did notice a nasty chip in one of the headlights though :(. I really hope that's coveredby warranty, it's pretty bad...I'll post a pic in reply.

Here's the chip. Upper left. It's like a half inch long, and deep. Guess the exposed projectors have a downside

mmm blaaaaaaack
I keep a bottle of the spray wax and a microfiber towel in my car to clean bird poo off the paint. It's good stuff.

That looks awesome!!! Like properly good! What a great color. Reminds me of this guitar finish (I have one in the natural clearcoat job):

Unfortunately the brown is only an effect of the sunset, but the black metallic looks good

That's too bad. That would be a beautiful paintjob. It looks fan-friggin'-tastic anyways! Props, those are great little cars too! My friend got one of those and the suspension was sublime. And it was pretty nippy too. Lotsa fun.

90 min? I could of washed my car, hand dried, AND applied a PASTE wax in that time.

Doing a proper job with paste wax takes about an hour for me. No need to rush it. 90 minutes was from backing out of the garage to pulling back in, so I guess the whole job didn't take that long. It's not a contest anyways ;)

I don't know why I always notice that. So many for sale ads, so many "just washed" photos.
It's been happening for decades.
